Madagascar COVID-19 Update

Last Saturday (14 March 2020), the President of the Republic of Madagascar took the decision to close the border for any flights from/to Europe and from/to La Réunion and Mayotte with effect from 20 March 2020 at 0:00. On 17 March 2020, the President made another public statement saying that all international flights from/to Madagascar are suspended with effect from 20 March at 0:00 for 30 days renewable if necessary.

The last public statement by the Ministry of Health dated 17 March 2020 mentioned that no case of COVID-19 is recorded in the country. Below is the Ministry’s statement. We would be pleased to provide a translation on request.
