We advised an US investor on the procedure for retrenching staff. Advice included detailed review of procedure including calculations of wages, holidays, overtime and bonus in addition to highlighting customary practices within the industry concerned. This was a very sensitive matter and we were able to assist the client in resolving their difficulties satisfactorily.
