We advised one of the world’s major credit and debit card issuers seeking to roll out a new card product in Francophone Africa. We looked at issues including in-country and foreign card issuance, foreign exchange control, nationality restrictions, rules concerning head-office domicile and general powers of foreign companies to do business in the jurisdictions concerned.
