LP Hill Plc acquires Tranomaro Development Corporation Ltd 2009-11-03

John W Ffooks & Co is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of Tranomaro Mineral Development Corporation Ltd by LP Hill Plc. The acquisition took place on 3rd November 2009 and shareholder approval was given on 7th December 2009.

LP Hill Plc is listed on London's Alternative Investment  Market (AIM); Tranomaro Mineral Development Corporation Ltd is developing uranium deposits in the south of Madagascar.

John W Ffooks & Co advised LP Hill Plc in relation to Madagascar legal matters.

Sale of Haddington Resources 2009-05-12

Haddington Resources Limited (ASX: HDN) is pleased to announce that the sale of the four Madagascar companies has now been completed. Haddington was the majority owner of the companies, which comprised a mining services business as well as holding tenements prospective for coal, uranium, lignite and gold.

Ambatovy closes on US$2.2bn project finance debt 2008-02-28

The Ambatovy Nickel Cobalt Project (comprised of Canadian mining group Sherritt (TSX.S), Japanese diversified industrial Sumitomo, Korean Natural Resources Corporation KORES and consulting engineers SNC Lavalin) has agreed debt financing of US$2.2bn for its Nickel Cobalt mining and processing project in Madagascar (www.Ambatovy.mg). The debt is structured as a non-recourse project finance investment, the first of its kind and size in Madagascar.
